Drop Shot Weight Management?
Drop Shot Weight Management?
Guys,
Whats the best way or product to manage your drop shot weight when not in use? Sometimes I run leaders that extend past the bottom of my grip which makes it tough to manage from flopping around while driving. Iv'e used the velcro and hair bungees and they work well with a shorter leader. I also try and stay away from anyting to bulky.
Any tips guys thanks.

I have the same problem. I have used a BPS lure wrap, medium size. I have also used a rubber band around the lure wrap to keep it secure after fishing.

I use Luna Sea rod floats on all my rods. They are comfortable and serve well in balancing my setups. For dropshots, I slide the weight in between the float and cork handle. Works great. Sometimes I use a lure wrap in addition to this to reduce snagging of tie hook with other rods in transport.

I have also used a heavy rubber band wrapped around the bottom of the handle. I slip the weight through the rubber band.
Re: Drop Shot Weight Management?
I just take the weight at wrap it around the handle in between the rubber grip and base. I just wrap it twice and I'm set.

I use a Fuji Hook Keeper below the reel on the blank part of the split grip. Works great.

Thanks. Good Idea for split grips. Would work better than my rubber band because the rubber band will break sometimes.njbasscat wrote:I use a Fuji Hook Keeper below the reel on the blank part of the split grip. Works great.
