Punch skirt dipper
Punch skirt dipper
Does anyone use a punch skirt on their skinny dipper or like style baits?

Nope just a swimjig.
Are you talking about running it in front of a weight EWG? It's an intriguing thought...The barrel would give a small, hard surface to aid in deflection when running through tulees or rice, not unlike that Paycheck nose thingy.

i've seen a few pro anglers use that on lakes like toho. I've seen it on shows and wondered if anyone else was using the rig. I suppose it helps get the grass off but not really sure.

We fish this setup often on Seminole, and I like it more than a regular swim jig. I use a 1/8-1/2oz tungsten bullet weight, a D&M skirt off a Beast chatterbait and a 4/0 Owner Beast hook with a Skinny Dipper. It is very weedless and catches a lot of fish. Great rig to throw shallow around pads and grass in the spring. Been throwing it on either a 843 or 873 NRX, Chronarch Ci4 Hg and 40lb braid.
