Owner wacky weedless 1/0 for a non-weighted hook.

Falcon bait jerker in 3/0 for a weighted hook.

I have tried various hooks for wacky rigging. I am currently very happy with an Owner SSW all purpose bait hook. I like this hook over most other weightless versions I have tried because while the shape is similar to most others, this hook has a slightly heavier gauge wire (sinks slightly faster) and the point is offset (many FW hooks like this are inline) for better hookups. I think I use this in a #2, but to be honest I never remember if its #2 or #4 and always have to take one with me when I buy them to remember what size. I once had one of these hooks catch 73 fish before I decided to tie a bad knot on the water in a hurry and lose the hook on my next bite due to a knot failure. :crying:

If you guys want to try a "weighted wacky hook" then check out this one PTL came out with for there 5" Sick Stick. It's a heavy cover not gonna bend out wacky hook that works awesome for largies and smallies...I don't think they are in stores as PTL has a small line of there own custom terminal tackle but have a look. They are strong with 5 strand guard that can either be thinned out or left alone. They use a 1/0 Owner EWG and range from 3/16oz-3/32oz

The Owner k hook is by far the best i found, i always use a rubber o-ring on all my wacky rigging to give more clearance to the hooks and save baits of course. I use the no 2 for lighter line and the 1/0 for heavier line and i make my own weed guard with 50lb mono. ;)

If I run out of Owner wacky hooks (the green ones), I go to the Gamakatsu G Finesse.

I have to agree that nothing has been better than the green owner wacky hook. I will be trying the fusion hook from berkley as it looks interesting.
