What is your preferred Shakey Head Worm?
I haven't been much of a shakey head angler in the past, but I will move to shakey heads in some conditions. I will likely intensify my use in 2015. I want to catch bass, and if it's necessary to use a shakely head, then I will do it.
I have numerous small and large worms that can be used.
I recently saw a video that recommends use of a worm with one flat side, like many of the hand-poured worms. This flat side creates a fluttery fall that attracts bass on the fall much more than an all-round worm like a Zoom Shakey Head worm.
Is the flat-side worm much better? If so, what brand and type?
I would greatly appreciate info on your preferred shakey head worm.
Thanks,
Fred

My fav is NetBait T-Mac. If I want to go smaller, NetBait Finesse or Big Bite Baits Squirrel Tail. Reaction Innovations Flirts work well also. I also have great luck fishing craws on the shaky head.

Big Bite Squirrel Tail X 2.
Also, Yamamoto 4" finesse Senko been good for me.

BlaineFred, PM me your address and I'll send you a sample of the worms I use and they work great. I use a worm from a small manufacturer called River Rock Baits, the worm is the SM Killer and it is dynamite on a shaky head, in fact it is the only worm I ever caught a largemouth on in water under 40 degrees. It is a 4.5" straight tail worm with a flat side but it isn't hand poured, it resembles the only Berkley finesse worm and when the bite gets tough in mid to late summer, this is the worm I use and I use it on a 1/8oz shaky head most of the time but I will drop down to a 1/16oz for a slower fall if need be. I also like the 6" Basstrix Loco-Motion worm in watermelon/black bars, that is a great worm for clear water, in dingy water forget it but clear water it is a killer and for a bigger presentation I really like the Stanley 5.5" Sidewinder, very underrated worm, this is a good one for dirty water as it has a big profile but really isn't that big.

Another vote for the NetBait T-Mac. I use them in a pretty wide range of colors but I'd say 2 of my favorites are A's Magic and Paca Melon.

Squirrel Tail worm for sure. The floating tail provides that subtle action I look for in a shaky had. It works itself. Any small plastic will work though
