Carolina rig it with a long leader on the light side, say 10-12lb test, and if you think you're fishing it too slow you're not fishing it slow enough. It's my all time favorite "West Texas Drift" bait.

Used a lot around here in clear water. C-rig deep...split shot shallower..T-Rig had been mentioned. Can also be fished on a shakey head...Deep C-Rig works well for spots (if you got em')...
