Playin around with these baits what are some good hooks and ways to rig this bait?Brad

I fish them on a Neko rig. Its a sinker from Damiki. You insert this weight in the head of the bait, then use a 1 or 1/0 wacky or dropshot hook that you'll insert in the body right before the tail. The weight keeps the head of the bait down and the tail floats. You can use a slow drag, deadstick it, hop it or use as a shakey head type of bait. Its really versatile. You can also t-rig it or use a jighead. I gonna use them this spring for some Lake Michigan smallies.

I tried the neko rig with the hydra the one time i was able to get out this year.I got two casts off before it ripped right off.Got an O-ring from home depot that fits it i hope this works better .Very excited about the neko rigged hydra this year
