2/0 or 3/0 EWG's will get the job done.

Re: Finesse Worm Hook Size
Thanks for the feedback. I have some 2/0 EWG's and thoght they looked kind of small, but I wasn't sure.

Re: Finesse Worm Hook Size
I like using lighter wire straight shank hooks like the Roboworm Rebarb. EWGs tend to weigh finesse worms down and kill the action.
Re: Finesse Worm Hook Size
I prefer a 1/0 to 3/0 round bend Gamakatsu hook for most of my worm fishing. This hook will not take any action away from the worm. I would not use an EWG hook for finesse worms.
Re: Finesse Worm Hook Size
Gammy, 1/0 @ 2/0 depending on the size I am throwing.

1/0 or 2/0 EWG Gama on texas rig. I also whacky rig them on a drop shot with great success.

Agreed. I use a size 2/0 on a 4" and a 3/0 on a 6 inch. Always. Hate the EWG. Gammy Worm Hook Straight Shank is my first choice.husonfirst wrote:I like using lighter wire straight shank hooks like the Roboworm Rebarb. EWGs tend to weigh finesse worms down and kill the action.

2/0 gammy for 4" wormsShimano-Or-Nothing wrote:2/0 or 3/0 EWG's will get the job done.
3/0 gammy for 6" worms
Worm hooks - do not use any offset worm hooks.
Re: Finesse Worm Hook Size
Another vote for a Gammy 1/0 or 2/0 light wire straight shank, but i put my own heat shrink as a keeper.
Re: Finesse Worm Hook Size
I started to use Decoy hooks instead of Gamakatsu for light wire now days. There is more domestic online shops carrying Decoy hooks now and they are priced around Gamakatsu hooks.
