You can also go with
Brown/green pumpkin/green/black flake/Junebug/ emerald fine blue flake
Also add orange/fine black flake accent to both for making them stand out even more. I use Junebug color blades and body's in 1/2oz.

I would reinforce the the rubber skirt band by adding some thread wraps, so you don't lose the skirt material when the rubber band breaks, which it will.

Find a piece of 12 awg stranded copper wire and cut a 3" length off of it. Remove the plastic wire jacket and use one strand to attach the skirt on any bait. Wrap twice around the collar, just above the rubber band and keep the ends roughly the same length. Pull it as tight as you can get it by hand, then twist it tightly with needle nose pliers until it cinches down. Keep twisting until it is fully wrapped on itself, then nip the end clean. Next, bend a right angle on it down towards the hook shank, about 3/8" total. This secures the skirt and also turns into a keeper by burying the angled part into the plastic trailer. Ive been doing this for years and it hasn't failed yet.

I do the same thing, but I use 26 ga. wire I get from Home Depot.

What hooks do you use for your chatterbaits? Are the eyes already open when you buy them?

Mustard black nickel spinnerbait hook I pour and open eye blade jig head both in 3/8oz and 1/2 oz.

Thanks. What connector wire do you use to make the blade eye connector?

I like using # 5 connection link stainless steel
I also use Wey wire form in 525 and 375 stainless steel
I keep them all in bulk. I have custom aluminum molds I had made so its easy to pour a few hundred up of both sizes when needed.

And to close the open eyelet get you a really good pair of heavy duty round nose pliers. I got mine off amazon.
