Favorite small spinnerbait

The SK Rocket Shad is a decent bait made much better with a few minor upgrades. The first thing to go is that piss poor stock double hook. Hook a decent fish on only one side and chances are it will straighten out and pull through. I opted for a 2/0 inline single hook attached to the frame with a split ring. The pics are of the 3/8 oz version, replacement hook size will differ with the bait size. Next is the skirt collar, which is notorious for letting go and causing skirt loss. A tiny zip tie takes care of that. Last is you can replace the stock Colorado blade with a willow leaf which will allow you to burn this thing at high speed.
