Who regularly throws small 3/16-1/4 spinnerbaits?

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

I'm always fascinated when people reach different conclusions, although some of what you're saying aligns with my approach in that you're often using them shallow and in confined spaces on larger bodies of water. I know Lil Hustler makes nice stuff, but I'm surprised a bit by your preference for a 4.5 willow on such a light bait. I take it you work it quite slowly...
You can try the size 4 willow. That will work also. :D It can be reeled at a medium speed no problem.

I only use the old T1 terminator tandem with a small Colorado and a 4.25 gold willow. The terminator willows have that flattened end and there is something special about it for me. As mentioned earlier you do need a lighter baitcast setup rod and reel to throw it properly.

My spinnerbait fish come on retrieves faster than most small spinnerbaits can swim on. I used to love throwing the 1/4 Revenge Deep Runners which have thin wire and smaller blades and that helps. I'll have to dig out my binder of them and see if the skirt bands are still intact.

I often do. I love a 1/4oz in shallow water early in the year. I need to grab a couple Super Eruption Jr and Cambios in 1/4 and I'm happy.

In the spring I really like throwing a size one or two safety pin blade setup (like a Beelte Spin uses) on a 1/8- 3/16oz ball head with a Fat Albert grub or the end of a stick worm. It's a very subtle action and catches lots of bass, and a fair about of Pike too.

Historically I've used 1/6-1/8oz strike king minis on my BFS set up, but I've recently added some small BB splitshot by the collar- usually adds an extra 1/16-1/8oz and launches those little spinnerbaits. Greater for when you're fishing deeper but still want to stick to something smaller

For putting fish in the boat nothing beats my 1/8 oz spinnerbait with a trailer. As much as I love bait casters I use a 7'1" envy black spinning rod set-up for light spinners.

Love throwing 1/4 or so Spinnerbaits. Especially around bream beds. I have been using a MB P5 cyclone with a Daiwa alphas ct sv and it will launch them.
