Finesse jigs

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

I agree with tying your own skirt. find a jighead you like then you can mess around with whatever color patterns you like and/or work in your area. its is really easy and gets even easier the more you make. if you go this route get yourself a descent vise right off the start, chances are you're going to like the end result. I bought a cheap one and a month in I went an purchased another.

Strike King Bitsy Bug. If the water is clear you won't go wrong with any color, as long as it's Blue Craw

These are the only Jigs that I buy. I tie all my other jigs, but I haven't ever tried hair jigs.

Tightrope baby firework jig. Handmade and hand-tied in Chicago, Il. These baits are killer on the south-end of Lake Michigan but have worked all over the Great Lakes. Small bait with a sturdy hook capable of being fished on casting set ups. They are in high demand and can be difficult to find but tbey are worth the wait!
