Suggestions for a 1/4 jig
Hi all,
Anyone have suggestions for a 1/4oz jig that is good at penetrating cover rather than a round or football head that better suits gravel bottoms.
I use a Keitech Tungsten Casting Jig Model 1 at the moment but happy to try others
Best wishes
Matthew

The mini mop jig is excellent! I like the Strike King Betsy flips too.

I recommend the Strike King Baby Structure Jig for what you are describing.

Missile Baits Ike flipping jig, Dirty Jigs and Skinny Bear all make great jigs. Quality components--hooks, skirts, etc...

Agreed, although I wish the Skinny Bear jigs had a better keeper, but a little super glue fixes that. I also really like Black Angel Lures Finesse Jigs - although it is 5/16, whats a 1/16oz among friends.jmb27 wrote:Missile Baits Ike flipping jig, Dirty Jigs and Skinny Bear all make great jigs. I like Lockjaw jigs, especially the 3D Eye Jig. The head is quite universal and I use it in weeds/wood/swimming...it comes in wts down to 1/8 and 1/4 ounce...some colors have a mix of silicone and rubber...there are options to upsize the hook and add rattles on each product page. http://www.lockjawjigs.com/category-s/123.htm

Dirty Jigs. Tons of models, tons of colors, tons of confidence.
Re: Suggestions for a 1/4 jig
Strike King DB FInesse structure Jig is pretty dang good.
Re: Suggestions for a 1/4 jig
its gonna be hard to penetrate any cover with only 1/4oz but as stated above, bitsy flip or dirty jig will get the job done

Shooter Lures 3/8 oz jig. You can trim the trailer to just below the hook and you have the profile of a 1/4 size jig, a little smaller than standard and you can cast, pitch, skip easier than a 1/4 oz jig and penetrate the cover better while still getting the bites of a 1/4 oz jig size.

All Terrain Tackle Rattling AT jig or its finesse cousin.
