Favorite Jig Trailers?
What are your favorite trailers?
I match my jigs up with a beaver bait or speed craw.

Re: Favorite Jig Trailers?
NetBait Paca chunks in any color and mostly any size.
Re: Favorite Jig Trailers?
i'm with cadman on this one. there are so many colors and they're cheap. The claws do come off easy but nothing rings the dinner bell for momma bass like a craw missing a pincher

Re: Favorite Jig Trailers?
This varies a lot depending on the jig I'm fishing but one thing in common is they are all from a small manufacturer and made with a high grade of plastic. For my finesse jigs I like the River Rock Baits Jakes Craw, 3.5" but not bulky, I say it is the pefect size craw that most fish eat. For my swim jigs I use the River Rock Baits RR Striker, it is a 3.75" swim bait that resembles the Keitech easy shiner, the other one is the River Rock swim grub, a big bodied grub with a large ribbon tail with a boot on the end instead of a point, this has been a big fish killer this year. My flipping jigs I use the same company's Kodiak beaver bait, very soft but the fish just hold on to them.

I've had good success with the Havoc Craw Fatty (by Bobby Lane). The claws flap nicely, and has a nice bulky profile but it's thin so it doesn't interfere with the hook gap. The other great thing about these is that they are easy to find in local stores, and inexpensive. I like the NetBait 4" Paca Craw for a smaller profile.

Could you please compare/contrast the RR Striker and the Easy Shiner? Thanks.
I generally use Sweet and Smallie Beavers, Rage chunks, and Paca chunks. I also use small, hand poured chunks that used to be sold by Northstar jigs for finesse jigs.
Re: Favorite Jig Trailers?
Super pork (too bad its gone) and paca chunk!!!
Re: Favorite Jig Trailers?
I've been using the Missile Baits Twin Turbo quite a bit lately, it's becoming one of my favorites. It's got a narrow profile so a little faster drop than say a Zoom Fat Albert trailer.

Re: Favorite Jig Trailers?
Everyone says this but my OCD won't let me throw a craw bait if its missing a clawNJ Jigman wrote:The claws do come off easy but nothing rings the dinner bell for momma bass like a craw missing a pincher
Anyways I like going with a chigger craw, I started using these a few years back and love them. I will occasionally use some beaver style baits but the chigger craw is my fav
