Skip jig recommendations.

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

Skip jig recommendations.

Post by Mcyl » Mon Sep 09, 2013 3:24 pm

Hey fellas,

2013 has been a big year of using jigs for me. Have been importing them from the US and JP.
of all the techs I love skipping. I figured the Yamamotos are the go to trailers. But what jigs do you use?

I'm referencing off TW.com, they have 2 skipping specific jigs but most I've talked to use just about anything

Input most welcome! thanks

Look at the lighter Arky head jigs, or any that are 3/8oz with the hook eye up and a wide rounded bottom.

The jig I've found easiest to skip is the Strike King Hack Attack in 3/8oz. I'm using a NetBait Kickin' B as my trailer, just cut off about an 1/8 inch before threading it on. With the nice smooth head design and wide flat bodied trailer this combo has been very easy for me to skip using casting gear.

Omega Pro-Mega Structure Jig works well for skipping. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Omega_Pr ... -OPRO.html
and I like the Trigger X Flappin Craw for a trailer. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Trigger_ ... -TXFC.html

If you got the fin tech title shot throw a missile baits d bomb on it! not only does a skip a mile but you wont have to change your plastic every other fish, it'll be more like every 15...

Also dont forget about good ol ball head jigs.
