Line tie for Jigs

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

Vertical or horizontal? Or it doesn't matter.

I prefer a horizontal line tie for my jigs except for flipping jigs. I don't know if it even matters but my feeling is that the V tie collects less grass.

For my swimming jigs and flipping jigs I prefer the normal vertical line tie but for my football and finesse jigs I really like the flat eye or horizontal. I even started making jig heads for tubes with the flat eye and it is great for dragging a bait but I'm not sure I would want to flip it in grass.

x2 like smalljaw. Verticle definitely for swimming jigs, it cuts through weeds better and horizontal for dragging football jigs as the line tie is at the top to keep the line from getting frayed.
