well i have the huddleston 6inch swimbaits..and after my buddy lost a monster on his castaaic swimbait with the stock jig hook..i was looking into rigging my hudds like butch brown...or maybe leave the stock hook and put a stinger hook before the dorsal fin..what u guys think??

I've seen some video from Butch and it seems like he has a good method for rigging the bait. I would give it a try.

i will be using the 6inch hud tho and people say there is not enough plastic in the head of the bait to rig it that way only with the 8inch

Can't you use smaller hook? I like the way he had it hooked because it's weedless.

Brad Kowalski did this video for TacticalBassin.com. I like this method for soft swimbaits like the Hudds.

It is a little tricky rigging it, but once you get it, it is really simple. And it doesn't require much material besides some heavy braided line and 10 mins.

yea ive seen those vids many times...i use that setup but also i leave the stock hook in place
