What knot do you use to tie jigs?

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

I've used the Palomar knot for many years with absolutely no problems. While it's true that you can use a lot of line tying it, I don't consider it a waste. It's worth using as much line as it takes to get a knot you feel confident in.

One little Palomar tip, using lines other than braids, when you have that big loop that needs to be drawn down, pull only on the tag until it's down tight and of course lots of spit. I know that this is 101 stuff for most people but still. I had a buddy of mine some years ago calling me from NC going crazy because every time he tied his knot when he went to test it, it would break. His error was pulling the main line and tag simultaneously when drawing down the knot. Fluoro is especially vulnerable to the friction cause at this stage of tying the knot.

You hit perfectly the reason for my beginning this thread. The jig strands get into the loop.

Reverse Clinch Knot. A very easy quick knot to tie. The knot does need some weight to tie quickly so I don't use it for bare hooks. This is also called the Alton Jones knot.
