Favorite Jigs and Colors

I tie my own footballs using all terrains rock jig head, my own swim jigs using poison tail or snootie heads and a finesse football head thats 3/16 oz w/o a weed guard. I fish northern nj, ny state and candlewood in ct mostly for smallies so these jigs work well for me. Color wise i like a gp stripe skirt w/ red or copper flake, a clear water black and blue thats striped w/ bl/bl and gp. for the swim jigs i like a sexy or chartruese shad and a blue gill that resembles strike kings perfect skirt bluegill color. when the fish are feeding heavilly on craws I use a natural 2 tone brown or gp color w/ a few orange or chartruese strands. all my jigs are tied w/ bucktail under silicone. i find the hail helps w/ the action of the silicone.

The 2 main jigs I throw are Bass Patrol and All Terrain A. T. Jigs. For colors, I tend to stick to colors that match the Bass Patrol jig colors. I will switch up colors if I'm not getting any hits but my go to that I always throw first is always a darker green colored jig.

As for trailers, I only use double tail grubs and Paca Chunks trying to match it up as much as possible.

I'll also add I haven't tried any Gann's jigs yet. My favorite colors of jigs are probably from Dirty jigs as their colors are the best I've seen.

Another vote for Ganns, IMHO they're pretty hard to beat when it comes to quality and components.

I`m a huge fan of Mann`s Stone Jig. Favorite colors are 1) black/blue 2) green pumpkin 3) texas craw (not a Mann`s color but I change skirts).

BooYah Baby BOO Jig - in 3/16oz. and 5/16oz. in 3-D Watermelon. I use these 99% of the time. YUM 2" Crawbug trailer in Watermelon Red Flake. - Texas Red in stained water.

I roll my own, mostly poison tails and Brush busters but also make some footballs.

Colors are mostly browns and greens with some orange and red here and there. Black and blue is always a good standby. All hand tied and use wide gap Gamy hooks both heavy and light wire.
If i were to buy them they would be Ganns no doubt.

For trailers mostly use Rage chunks or Paca craws on flipping jigs, GY swimming senkos or Twin tails for swimming jigs.

I like Terminator Top Secret in brown and black or blue and black with a chiggar craw to match for heavy cover. I don't have a favorite football jig. I have my eye on some hand tied jigs that I will probably try this season.

Bass in MN aren't very big so i stay with smaller JDM jigs like keitech, imakatsu, deps and evergreen. i have a whole tackle box of about 60 jigs and its hard picking out which to use

Don't have a favorite brand. The colors I like are pretty basic, black/blue, greenpumpkins, brown/purple.

i make my own jigs and stick with the poison tail, grass and football jigs. my colors of choice would have to be black/blue, green pumpkin and brown/purple. But i also love white when bass are post-spawn and in the fall
