MOAJ

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

MOAJ

Post by goldrod » Fri Jan 11, 2019 11:26 am

Mother of all jigs.

I’ve been messing around with a few that if there was such a category I’d certainly nominate them.
It’s not about size either because I have a few small jigs that do the job better than most.
If there was a TT.Com category for the MOAJ, which would you nominate?

I couple of jigs that I think are definitely in this category are:

1, Nichols DB finesse Jig
https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Nichols ... NDBFJ.html

2, Stanley Big Nasty Flip Jig
https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Stanley ... ge-BN.html

3, Beast Coast Double-wide Assault AP Flip and Pitch Jig
https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Beast_C ... e-BAS.html

These jigs are certainly worth checking out. I fan out the beast coast jig's weed guard more but its good as is.

The DB jig is an awesome jig and with the exception of the bait keeper ( toothpick... should have been a wire keeper) it is 8/10 easily

I was curious about that keeper system. Good idea but poor execution?

I just ignore it. But everything else is top notch

Those look pretty good. Also I have a few types of seiners I will give a try I ordered a few dobyns football jigs 1/2 and 3/4. Figured I would give them a try. If you haven’t tried the twerk from reaction innovation it’s a great trailer with great movement.

I saw the Dobyns fb jig. Look’s nice
I’ll give it a shot. I got some Nu-Tech jigs to try as well. I’m definitely liking the features of that Dobyns jig though. Keep us posted on your findings

I ordered from a few different jig makers. I ordered the Dobyns football and a couple Damiki Mamba jigs. Even though I'm sure they will work Sieberts Outdoors jigs blow them away in my opinion. Custom jigs are the way to go as far as I am concerned. Just my two cents. I ordered a couple different styles from him to test. Everything I ordered was in 1/2 oz sizes. The past two years I have used his 1/4 oz football on 12# sniper and did very well. Keep us posted on your jig findings and I will do the same once I get open water here.
