catalst:rust

Do you guys think the catalst coating can rust? Have you had any problems with it scratching? I Have. I got a scratch across the body of the reel. Anybody have similar experiances?

Scratch resistent, not scratch impervious! Rust should not be an issue given that aluminum is used for the side covers and body of the reel.

Your catalyst rusted????? :shock:
Are you sure it's not some fish gut dried up on there?? :D

Aluminum does turn color when exposed to air and stuff
for a prolonged period. Can you take a picture of it and
show us?
