as far as tackle, I keep a few ugly stiks around for the kids to use. Near indestructable so I don't have to worry about them beating them off the boat or trees while bank fishing. Some spinning and some push buttons.

My Daughter's 3 1/2 now and shes been out w/ me a few times on the boat this year and a few more times sunny fishing from shore. She absolutely loves it and can't get enough. My youngest is 1 1/2 and I'll wait till next year to introduce him to the "sickness" ( my wife's name for my fishing addiction) . My 11 yr old has his own St Croixs.

When they are young sunny fishing w/ lots of action is hard to beat.
