Shimano Baitcaster

Post by Shannon2713 » Sun Sep 30, 2007 7:25 pm

I am looking for a new baitcaster (round or low profile) that is in the 250-300 range. I will mostly be throwing wacky senkos, 3/8 ounce texas rigs, diawa peanuts, and xr8's. Open to domestic or JDM models

2nd Gen Met Mg/Mg7 or Calais 100 (you'll have to shop around to get it in your price range, but this reel is WORTH IT!).

If I used right handed reels, I would definitely go for the mg7. I think they can be had for about $270.... but I dont think they would be able to cast your weightless flukes as fluidly. But I've never had one so I really dont know.

Wow...that stinks, that means if you want the Calais 100, you'll have to search for an Antares AR left hand.

Hmmm...post a WTB, you never know!
