Fed Ex just left my driveway

Post by Bassonly » Mon Sep 24, 2007 11:12 am

They just left a 7'6" cardboard tube on my porch. It contained a backup CBR845. :D

The rod was only 7', and the cardboard was about a 1/2" thick. It is more sold than PVC.

Cardboard has a bounce affect PVC will break at a certain point or even crack

The only broken rod I ever got in the mail was in a cardboard tube...

I've bought, and sold over 300+ rods, and only problem I've ever had was with cardboard. PVC doesn't bend, thus doesn't break (not for me yet), but cardboard bends, and when it does, contents may very well get damaged. 8-)

Glad ya got it in one piece!

And it's probably because you did not us UPS! =))))

That rod is great for shallow to mid depth cranks. It has the power to throw a D-20, but an 847 is better for that. Today my 101 # Minn Kota arrives via fed ex!!! 8-)
