jigworm and grub fishing

Post by quantum angler nt » Thu Jun 12, 2003 2:12 pm

What kind of grubs, jigs, and jigworms does everybody use for jigworming and grub fishing for bass? What brand of small jigworms are good to buy for medium-light applications? What jig weights?

My gf uses a 1/32oz silver jighead with a tiny white grub all the time now. She would use it within 5 yards from shore watching small fish bite at it for fun. But then, as she was doing this, a big pike or largemouth would come by and swipe at it. While I'm out long casting next to her, she'll bring in 25cm pikes and 3lb largemouths with this tiny grub. It's almost funny. I find that these grubs work better than tubes esp in the spring and in clear water.
