tv lures: banjo minnows and walking worms

Has anyone tried tv lures like banjo minnows or walking worms? Do they work or are they just scams directed at naive anglers?

I think I saw Bill Dance use one of those last weekend on TV.
With that new hook system also.

I haven't tried it, and probably won't for a while since
I don't buy any TV lures. But that's just me.
Some of the stuff you see on TV might work.
There are other lures on my list I want to try
when I find the time to play around instead
of catching fish.
