e21 Fishing Rods at the ICAST Show This Week

Element 21 Golf

TORONTO--(Marketwire - July 11, 2007) - Element 21 Golf Company ("e21") (OTCBB: EGLF) (FRANKFURT: BJQ) the manufacturer of advanced Scandium Alloy golf and fishing equipment, announced today that it will be presenting first e21 fishing rod line at the ICAST show held in Las Vegas on July 11-13.

ICAST is the world's largest sportfishing trade show. This year ICAST is celebrating 50 years of uniting the world's largest showcase of innovation in sportfishing gear and accessories under one roof.

The 2007 ICAST show in Las Vegas will premiere e21 fishing equipment including e21 exclusive line of Boyd Ducket Gold Classic series rods. Boyd Ducket is 2007 World Champion and BASSMASTER Elite Series Tour Champion has given full endorsement to the e21 fishing rod equipment. The e21 equipment is designed by the 5-time ICAST "Best of Show" rod designer -- "Wizard of Rods" -- Ken Whiting, who has successfully implemented the first scandium applications in the e21 fishing line.

Boyd's BASSMASTER Elite Series Tour 2007 Champion's Trophy is on display at the E21 Fishing booth number 2007 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

About Element 21 Golf Company:

Element 21 Golf Company is a Delaware company trading on the OTCBB and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB) with offices in New Jersey, USA and Toronto, Canada. e21 holds the exclusive right to manufacture golf products using it's proprietary e21 Scandium Metal Alloy. Simply put, e21 clubs are using next-generation technology that delivers marked improvements in distance, consistency, accuracy and feel over any of the most popular products in the $5.5 billion U.S. golf equipment marketplace.

Element 21 Golf Company has recently expanded its operation to include fishing equipment made from e21 Scandium Metal Alloy.

e21 Scandium Metal Alloy is the secret behind this advanced performance. Originally developed for advanced aeronautics in jet fighters such as the MiG, e21 Alloy provides the highest strength-to weight ratio of any material currently used in golf: 25% improvement over Titanium, 40% improvement over Graphite/Epoxy, 52% improvement over Aluminum, 70% improvement over Steel.

Other than the Boyd Duckett line, they have a rod made out of carrots, bright orange, and made out of carrots!

 I couldn't find anything from e21 on it! I'm sure the TT crew will get the scoop.

I remember someone mentioned curran being used for rods. Here's some info from another company: http://www.cellucomp.com/

kbookert, Can you be a little more specific?

I'm skeptical at best, but before I say too much I'd like to know how they're implementing an aluminum-Sc alloy into the fishing rods? Maybe the handle or the guides?

The claim of 40% improvement in strength to weight of the aluminum alloy over carbon fiber is questionable, but that's not the key number anyway. The stiffness to weight, or specific modulus is more meaningful when if comes to rod blank itself. I've yet to see a metal or metal alloy blank that can compete with CF when if comes to the specific modulus.

skeeterboy,

The Carrot rods and the Curran materials were invented by a couple of Scottish guys who started a company called CelluComp. I'm as skeptical of them (the rods) as I am about aluminum rods. lol
