The 3 must haves for Bass, Pike and Walleye
The 3 must haves for Bass, Pike and Walleye
Say you are fishing in unfamilar water only knowing there are Bass, Pike and Walleye in it. But you don't know what you might pull out of the water so you must carry different lures for all three.
Which three lures would you choose? I already have my own answer for the bass. Rap-X and Senko.
What about for Pike and Walleye? You are only allowed two lures for each type of fish.

my to go bait for those three fish is a mity mite jig (jig in a tube). these little baits can catch all three of the fish listed. and come in an ansortment of colors.

A spinnerbait (single willow, double willow, colorado blades) would boat them all

Imo the conditions of catching even are more relevant, than type of fish. Lake or river? At the bottom channels, on chutes, on outputs to a coast?
But I have lovely type of bait and use it where it has a sense (for zander and pike): hard shad (float) with small spinner at 15-20cm before, in line, slowly sinking at composition.

Being limited to two really changes what's chosen since some baits are better in some situations, just less versatile. That said, my picks would be:
Bass:
-4" chartreuse shad Senko
-3/8 oz chartreuse/white spinnerbait
Walleye:
-Black 3/16oz jighead and 3" twister tail grub
-Rapala Shad Rap or LC Flat Mini DR
Pike:
-1/2 oz chartreuse/white spinnerbait
-Rapala J13

Re: The 3 must haves for Bass, Pike and Walleye
I would chose a swimbait like a sassy shad and a jig an twister for bass, walleye, and pike.
Re: The 3 must haves for Bass, Pike and Walleye
deffinatly a crankbait and a spinnerbait for all 3
Re: The 3 must haves for Bass, Pike and Walleye
1) 4 or 5" grub on a jighead
2) 4 or 5" jerkbait: your choice suspending, floating, sinking
3) In-line spinner: Mepps type #3 or #4
Of course there are more combos but these 3 will catch all 3 species for sure.

Similiar to wantthat2, and in no specific order:
- 3-1/2" green pumpkin tube with 3/16 or 1/4 oz tube jig head
- #7 or #9 crawdad or baby bass colored shad rap
- #3 or #4 copper or gold colored Mepps/Vibrex in-line spinner
