Re: power pro vs sufix
I have used both. The Sufix seems to cast better to me...and it doesn't seem as loud. I like it a little better. But that's just my opinion...

30# Sufix braid on my Curado 200DHSV / Kistler Jig N Toad 7'0" H rod setup for fishing ribbits/Spro frogs...works GREAT!

IMO SPB out performs PP. The only drawback to SPB is the cost. But it is worth it!
If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.
Re: power pro vs sufix
I have a question about Sufix Braid... does it decolorate? if yes, how much does it take it to decolorate?
Re: power pro vs sufix
It will but a much slower pace than PP and not as much as PP.
The knot tying and casting distance are the best qualities of the SPB over PP.

Oh that's great, I may consider buying some to fill my TD Millionaire SW 203L
Re: power pro vs sufix
Kind of a newbie giving his 2 cents here but I have tested three different lines this year since I have gotten back into fishing. Spider wire braid (pretty good), Berkley Crystal (didnt like at all) and Suffix braid (love it). It seems to be strong, smooth and quite limp. I have read about power pro and used a friends reel that had PP on it. The reason I was so interested in trying it was because it didnt appear to be the same stiff stuff I had handled in the store, but he said it was. The PP seems to loosen up after several outings which is nice but I would rather not "break in line". Suffix on the other hand was , as I stated earlier, extremely limp right out of the package and I loved it from the first cast. Its the best line i have used to date. Give it a try I dont think you will use anything else. Good luck. G

Sufix does not come in red, by my knowledge.
Power-pro does.

Re: power pro vs sufix
Have used suffix but not power pro. basically, i think that Fins PRT is the better one. Had a spool (10lb) on my Calcutta 50 and it's been on that reel for 6 years now. No problems and never let me down, not even once.

I've never seen a red braid here on the U.K, or any other funky colour for that matter. What are the benefits, apart from looking good on the reel?manasota wrote:Does Sufix come in red?

Re: power pro vs sufix
I've never had either Power Pro or Suffix deteriorate, but I have noted that Yellow Suffix bleached out to white very rapidly. The fluorescent yellow Suffix on my reel turned white within a few months of use. It appears to me that the properties of the LINES are very similar, but perhaps the coatings make a difference to some fishermen.
