Favorite Discontinued Hardbaits?

Post by MK49 » Sun Oct 22, 2023 7:08 pm

I just watched a Matt Stefan YouTube video. He's talking about his favorite discontinued lures.

My favorites are (excluding hand made or very rare ones),

- Heddon Meadow Mouse
- Heddon Tiger
- Heddon Chugger Spook
- Luhr Jensen PJ Pop
- Luhr Jensen Wood Walker
- Lucky Craft S8 Popper
- Daiwa TD Pencil
- Daiwa TD Vibration

Fortunately, I can still find used ones.

What are your favorites?

I remembered another one, Heddon Spit n Image Jr. They discontinued Jr size, and it was a better bait than the slightly bigger one that they still sell.

I don't remember if the one I have is a Jr. or not. It's 2 1/2 inches and 1/4 oz.

The Jr is about 3", and a little over 1/4oz, I think. The bigger one is only 3.25" long, and about 3/8oz. When you walk the dog with those baits, the Jr. size feel very light, so you could walk all day long. The bigger one is only 1/4" longer, but it feels heavier, when walk it. The Jr., definitely gets more bites for sure, at least to me. The Jr. is one of those special baits to me.

I learned to walk the dog with the Jr. Fabulous bait.

I bought two more Heddon Spit n Image Jr on eBay. One of them doesn't have a rattle. I didn't know they made ones without rattles. That would be perfect for some situation.
