Academy Sports square bill
Yep, their UL squarebill catches anything that swims.
Are these the H2O Xpress flat sided square bill? If not, can somebody provide a link?
Their flatside squarebills are fish catchers, too, but I'm referring to the CRUL. It's small, but not UL as the name suggests. They remind me of my beloved Strike King 0.5 cranks that were discontinued, though the crul are slightly larger, but still smaller than the 1.0. It's like a .75, if that were a thing. They have good colors, sharp hooks and are very durable.

I am gonna have to try a few of those. Academy baits have always worked well for me. I have one that looks like the "barfish" strike king pattern, is a deeper running squarebill that came with stock Owner hooks from Academy. Think it is a half oz lure that dives to about 7-8ft. Have not tried their UL crank, but if it is anything like a Strike King Bitsy Minnow, it will do. The old Rick Clun Luck-e-Strike cranks, the smallest ones, will catch any predatory fish out there. I actually add smaller hooks to the Series 1, and they work great. Only a few colors left, I bought a few at Wal-Mart when they had them on clearance for a dollar or two.

I second this, the square bill from academy sports has caught me a good amount of fish. They come with good hooks and good paint jobs. Side by side, they don't look any different than a strike king 1.5 square bill. I paid $2.99 on sale.

They are currently $2.44 on the Academy website.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Lucky Craft LC 1.5 is the OG, catch them on sale and I'd say they're very inexpensive and catches the fire out of them.

Also like them in the 1.0 version. They work and last forever. Just change out he beat up hooks once in a while and sharpie in scratched off paint if you so desire. These are a standard and I’d even say they’re cheap for what you get and compared to any jdm-ish alternative.
