Why have they been difficult to source lately (even prior to COVID)? They’ve really never been “popular” but are sold out nearly everywhere

Because the partnership with their US distributor has ended ... not sure if they are looking for another or are simply content staying JDM.

Dang I had no clue. I really enjoy their hardbaits since they’re not the run of the mill blanks everybody uses. Would be cool if Daiwa could help like they do with Evergreen.

I didn't either until I reached out to that former distributor for some information on a bait or something

Understand. That’s where I usually buy them but haven’t been in a while. If all goes well I’ll be back there end of next month for a short trip

Ordering from the East Coast and using the JDM patterns primarily, if not exclusively, it’s hard getting them. Fortunately, it’s going to shift from cranks to topwaters, it will cut me a little slack purchasing wise but that’s only until fall and back into crankbait season.
Plus, there are a few new baits for their roster.

I have been on the O-S-P.net fan page a couple of times going back to 2008 and 2009. I’ve found their crankbaits to be more productive than and of the other JDM offerings. They just work for me.
