Favorite spook style bait?
Re: Favorite spook style bait?
Hi Smalljaw and down4ttown,
Are there any favorite colors for the Yo-Zuri 3DB Pencil? Do you think the 7/16 will perform as well?
Thanks

The Pencil is 4" and is 5/8oz, 7/16oz is the 3DB prop which is also a really good topwater bait. For the pencil I have several colors but the best ones have been prism shad in clear water and bone in stained water. It is the only walking bait that every strike has resulted in a fish, so far it hasn't gotten tail slapped or what I call "half hits" where the bait is just pushed. I don't know if I buy into the ribs on the bottom putting out weird vibrations or anything like that but I believe the size, action and sound work so well that fish are just eating it. I love the super spook Jr., that is a smaller wider bait and it catches fish but it still gets its share of tail slaps and half hits, that 3DB pencil so far has only caught fish and it draws numbers as well as bigger fish.108642 wrote:Hi Smalljaw and down4ttown,
