They're both great, but the little 1/4 ounce Rico is something you have to experience. I don't know why that little popper catches the numbers and quality of fish it does, but it's a bait I won't go fishing without.

I agree. I have both but the smaller one catches more fish.

My favorite topwater is a hollow body frog, can't pick a favorite. Something about getting giants in the jungle that just gets me going.

One's Bug would have to be a favorite.

Rico a major disappointment.

Though I have to agree with this 100%, be careful saying things like that around here. You're likely to be Tarred & Feathered... digitally.

I must admit I did catch a nice little kicker while taking mine for a brisk walk, but it was during optimal topwater conditions and it's still bull crap that I had to replace those hooks.
This is the way.

While not truly a topwater lure (rides about 1" under the surface temps if you want), this is now my favorite Fryebait. I have made a few varieties. They catch skies.

Just ordered a chartreuse/white Cavitron. Sounds like a winner. Never given buzzbaits much of a shot.

1/2oz buzzbait. Black Blade, black skirt. Couple different brands over the years. Don't throw it enough, but its definitely been a good big fish bait for me.
