I've been using them for a while now, duo realis 80 is the only one I have used and its been excellent.
I have got, small mouth, large mouth, trout, wiper and even channel catfish, they catch everything.

I run mine with strait braid, 15lb seaguar smackdown, the thinner the line the better, slow retrieve is a must.

Metanium 13 on a NRX 852, these also cast excellent...
Will be using the Met MGL and maybe a NRX 842 this year :big grin:

I'm throwing on 8# P-line 100% fluorocarbon. Next time I'm out I'm going to put some time in with them. We just had another big cold front push through.

We had record highs this week, and a lot of 50's and 60's the last two weeks. The lakes were just starting to fire up, and I was catching fish now back to winter here as well. I prefer winter/early spring fishing, so I don't mind too much, but I was having fun with all the good fishing days :-({|=

Caught 4 fish today on a post cold front bluebird day with absolutely zero wind and 45 degree air temps/42 degree water temps. I caught one other fish on a jig. To say I'm impressed would be an understatement! Was using a G-fix 90 on an Alphas SV 10# sniper and a Glx 842. The fish were caught along channels where water went from approx 6' to 17'

disclaimer: one fish was a 6# drum ](*,)

I've used pretty much every one other than the tiemco and new storm.

The only ones out of the 20 that i would buy again

Duo Gfix
maybe duo standard 80 and 90

Definitely the Evergreen...

Worst design definately the megabass...the front blade catches on the line on the descent more than half the time.

upgrade to bigger singles. They can take em. and they hold once hookd 10x better.

my god are the hooks on them sharp

The prop magic

It's easier to keep level. If you are familiar with what a darter is (superstrike zig zag)
it has a line tie position that achieves the similar effect...keeping it a bit more level while moving. Someting the duo's don't do 100% if you use heavier fluoros or braid to fluoro

What size do you use? 75 or 95?

The thing is I can't seem to find them anywhere, well besides japan but the cheapest I can find is like $18 shipped :-k

The original 80 size Duo is kind of the gold standard (been my best too). I use a 7'7" ML Omen Green with a 2500 Shimano, 10lb braid with a 6lb Fluoro leader. On places like the St. Lawrence (1000 Islands) you can throw it anywhere in 3-30 feet and whack them. The basics of the technique have been covered (slow, light line, SLOWER!, and rod down). I use it out of the back of the boat (in conjunction with a Carolina Rig) when the boater is locked on a hump/rock. I just work the area around where he is getting fish off of the less obvious rocks/humps and the fish moving to and away from the hump he is working.

I'm using the lucky craft's screw pointers with good success. They are perfect when retrieved slowly on the bottom

Sorry didn't see the quote.

I use both. The 95 is a pretty large profile.

That sounds about right in terms of price and availability.
