Slender Pointer 127 MR - 1000 Islands

Looking to put together some baits to fish the 1000 Islands in NY this summer and picked up a few Cabela's markdown LC Slender Pointer 127 MR baits in Aurora Pro Blue. Is/could this be an effective bait for the 1000 Islands in NY in late June? I plan on drop shotting, throwing tubes and creature baits, and senko-style baits on either spinning or baitcasting, etc. but thought I would ask if anyone uses this bait as it is rather large for most jerk bait applications. You may catch a few but that bait is too large for that area during that time period. The waters will be filled with fry, so a 78 or even a 65 would be a better choice. Square bills and spinnerbaits are the ticket up there from late May to the end of June.

I'd think thats a bit much unless you're fishing for pike. i would stick to smaller baits like said before, LC pointer 78 or other baits around that size.

Thank you! I ended up taking the baits back in enhance for others. They were a little overkill for what I wanted to use them for but they were an impulse buy. I appreciate the responses. Thanks!
