Re: Need appraisal
Negative on the dime a dozen for the pre Rapala Wart. They are in demand, likely about 15 to 20 bucks a pop. Maybe more on Ebay.ayo8 wrote:Probably a dime a dozen.

X2 I would be keeping those, they are hard to find!earthworm77 wrote:Negative on the dime a dozen for the pre Rapala Wart. They are in demand, likely about 15 to 20 bucks a pop. Maybe more on Ebay.ayo8 wrote:Probably a dime a dozen.
Get your kids hooked on fishing, and they'll never have any money for drugs or alcohol.

I see, its more of a collectors item.earthworm77 wrote:Negative on the dime a dozen for the pre Rapala Wart. They are in demand, likely about 15 to 20 bucks a pop. Maybe more on Ebay.ayo8 wrote:Probably a dime a dozen.

Re: Need appraisal
I think that the Storm Warts pre Rapala are just different in the way they move. I don't think anyone is collecting them, I think they are being fished.
Re: Need appraisal
Ive seen some on ebay upwards to $60-160 each. If they're not collectors items, then that's some expensive action. Then again, ebay can be so ridiculous in prices.earthworm77 wrote:I think that the Storm Warts pre Rapala are just different in the way they move. Its got me curious, I have a huge Tupperware of old unused lures NIB dating back since 1995. Im positive I have a dozen or so storms in there (warts, chug bugs etc) and who knows what else. I haven't open that box in over 10 years. Im going to check it out; might have a treasure trove and not even know it.

with all the comments considered
I think you'd feel better if you fished
them and caught fish

Re: Need appraisal
Fish them!! The ones that are highly sought after are the pre Rapala Wiggle Warts and that is because the construction caused them to hunt really well. The Short Warts and Sub Warts aren't so unique in action that a replacement can't be had. From what I gather the Don Iovino Zone Hunter cranks are supposed to hunt as well as, if not better than, the original wiggle wart and they are selling so there may come a time when the original wiggle warts may not be in demand.

Those 2 are common colors. They are fishers. Most storm FB pages will fetch $8-10. Even the WW price is way down compared to a couple years ago.
