Hook Sharpener?

Hi all,

Who makes the best hook sharpener? I was looking at a few on tw, I think they were Rapala and EZE-Lap?

I use the EZE-LAP Diamond Pen Type Hook Sharpener. I really like it and I haven't had any issue with it in the 3 months I've had it. I would say I've sharpened about 100 hooks and everything went very well. I think the shape of it would really depend on personal preference. I can't say much about other manufacturer's as I haven't used their products but I expect them to be pretty much the same (I might be extremely wrong on this).

i use the same one..its compact....sharpens hooks really well and it hasn't rusted yet either....

Hi joeiam8,

I have used the same EZY-LAP sharpener since the early 80s. It has never let me down and has never rusted or deteriorated in any way. Just a great compact sharpener that sits in your pocket out of the way till you need it.

I picked up one of these a few months ago. Has a coarse grit on one side and a fine grit on the other. I like it.

I use the SPEEDY SHARP. Check it out. It removes very little hook material.
