Down here in South La. The water that I fish is mostly stained.

My best luck has been on Sexy Shad

Pro blue and pearl are my best producers. I fish mainly clearer water.

+1.

I also have the deadly black illusion now that "should" be good for stained water as well.

the old pro blue and a discontinued Mossback yellowfin tail from 2001 when they first came out. If you find them on e-bay they go for 100 greenbacks. Really hurts when you break a bill off. I bought quite a few a long while ago and I'm very careful where I fish them.

Sakura Coach, Pro Blue, HT Ito-Wakasagi, Matte Tiger

Don't forget their saltwater colors. Pm Pearl Rainbow is killer, Singetsu Iwashi, and SW GG Megabass Kibinago, are some of my favorites.

I have to say that The Hook Up Tackle has a pretty good selection.

Just ordered a couple saltwater colors from hook up. Should be in later this week. They look awesome in the pics online. Never tried the sw version. Action the same or similar?? In the pics it looks like they may have a square bill. Guess I'll find out by Friday on the water.

Cant remember off the top of my head in regards to action, I think the saltwater versions have a slightly slower rise, the hooks are definitely stronger on the salt water versions.
Get your kids hooked on fishing, and they'll never have any money for drugs or alcohol.

Thanks zodiak 311. I'm looking forward to trying them out. I also just started playing around with swapping out hooks on 110s recently. I always liked the katsuage hooks that come with them for bass, but I'm in FL and I have a lot of gar hitting them and bending them up. The occasional bowfin will really mess them up. So far, I've liked the results with gamakatsu, but a much bigger pain getting them out of bass for a quick release. I'll be interested in trying out the sw katsuage
