Favorite square bill color?

I'm starting to really get into the crankbait game, especially square bills and was just curious to hear what colors people like to throw and in what water color. I know some people swear by bright colors while others prefer to fish natural colors so I'm curious to see which is more popular.

Chartreuse with a black back, I do not know why that color combo works so well but it is a must have for a square bill. You will get a bunch of manufacturer specific colors so I'll try to avoid it by giving you general colors so you will have a start for the brand you go with. The chartreuse and black works in any color water too, fire tigers works in stained water but I don't do well in clear with it. Other colors for square bills that have been good are bluegill and shad patterns, I don't do well with craw colors but bluegill and shad along with the chartreuse and black will have you on your way.

The one that works best for me is silver with a green back but I also fish a lot of clear water.

these two colors are what I throw 80% of the time for squarebills.

My favorite is a crawdad color, that matches the forage in the water I am fishing. A personal favorite is Rapala's Red Crawdad.

BDS 3 in Sexy Chartreuse Shad works well for me,regular Chartreuse Shad looks good to in tannic stained water,almost glows in that dark water.
