I use the Rapala DT's in 16 and 20's. Also use all the other sizes Rapala DT's when I do not neeed to go as deep.

Another vote for the DD22, can't beat them for the price and color selection.

I wish someone made a good DD bait that the lure body itself wasn't any bigger then a standard shallow diving bait. I never understood why you had to up the bait body size on a DD bait. I think I would find them more productive in my mind if they were so huge.... but then again I fish shallow rivers and don't really have a need for DD baits 99% of the time.

After much experimenting,
Bomber FATFREE shad. I've recently caught fish in 18 feet of clear, clear water.. So I am no expert but I am getting better. I have the whole family from the fingerling on up and I guess because I am sticking with it that it is starting to produce and I am gaining confidence. The DT series of rapala's not so much

If you're willing to spend about $15 per lure the Jackall Muscle Deep 15 Plus has a smaller body than most cranks that hit a similiar depth range. Cast like a rocket and rips through deep submergent grass well. It's put a lot of fish in the boat for me.

I like the FAT FREE SHAD #7. match the lure color to clarity of water. In your lake with alot of brush, the Fat free shad with a tighter wiggle and the shape of bill should work well.
