Identify these Rapala Crankbaits
Found these Rapala crankbaits in a utility box. What are they? IRELAND is stamped on the bill.

They look like Risto Raps, which were discontinued a few years ago.

Not to threadjack, but what is the consensus on the effectiveness of the Risto Rap. Usually I don't fish deep cranks, but I've seen them around and always wondered.

A lot of people favor the DT's over the Risto Rap.bassbandit wrote:Not to threadjack, but what is the consensus on the effectiveness of the Risto Rap. Usually I don't fish deep cranks, but I've seen them around and always wondered.

Re: Identify these Rapala Crankbaits
They are good crankbaits, like everything else they have a time and place. Despite the appearance of the bill they have a gradual diving curve. I like these on slow tapering points / flats. The smallest ones (can't remember the RR #) are great little stream cranks.
I swear I had 500+ posts, I swear it!
Re: Identify these Rapala Crankbaits
The bills on the DT's seem to fragile, i like the ristos much better.
