Wish topwater season would come along already. Cant wait to finally have a whole season to which I can dedicate my time learning all about the anthrax.
This is why I'm a tackle junkie...

Ice has only been out a week or so but when we get a string of 60+ degree days, in the farms ponds by me, they kill rattle baits!
I'm jealous - I'm at least a month from throwing those... sexy ghost minnow and red craw chartreuse.

Ditto and ditto on those - right up my alley. I love flat sided cranks.

It will be the Koppers suspending Yellow Perch. Not sure how deep this lure runs yet so I could be switching it off for a Bevy Shad or deep diving Pointer.

Fishing in New Jersey, water is cold but ice is all gone. Fish from shore on Shallow lakes/ponds and lakes with a slight shelf to long dropoff and the only thing that has caught me bass/pickerel is a silver 4" chatterstick. This was a bargain box buy at Dick's and thought I'd give it a shot. Read on some forums that this is the time to throw and the thing works. The bass are so lethargic right now that most of the time I think I'm hung up when I'm reeling and then I see the bass flash at the end of my line. I thought it was a gimmick lure but I'm sold on it.

X-Rap, size 10 in perch, or the Koppers Perch. medium diver, and it can't happen soon enough!

I will be throwing one of my RiverValleyCrankbaits in a spring craw pattern...chart/browntiger or RiverShad in a tight wiggle and using my new Colmic G70 crankbait rod. \:D/
