Line Conditioner for Braid?
Line Conditioner for Braid?
Anyone using line conditioners? If so, what do you use?
Re: Line Conditioner for Braid?
KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. It is good for all types of lines.
I have been using it for years and it appears to also extend the useful life of line.

Does it leave any type of residue on the reel frame when it's sprayed on, and if so, is it easily cleaned up?DrPerf wrote:KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. It is good for all types of lines.

Owner-C'ultiva / Ardent also offer a line conditioner that is available domestically, called Line Butter. I wonder if it's the same formula as the Cultiva spray available in Japan.
Re: Line Conditioner for Braid?
Aside from cost to have these shipped from Japan, I wonder if there are import restrictions being they are considered chemicals?
Re: Line Conditioner for Braid?
Any residue is easily wiped off and it is not oily/tacky. I have a decent collection of high-end JDM reels, so if there was any harm to a reel when using it, I would have not continued to use it for the past 10 years. The 'proof' is in consistent results over time and with various types of line (fluoro, braid and mono).Winstondry wrote:Does it leave any type of residue on the reel frame when it's sprayed on, and if so, is it easily cleaned up?DrPerf wrote:KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. I would suggest that you do a search on "KVD" in this sub-forum and read the comments.

Thanks Doc!

Officially they only can ship non-gas version by Air Mail, unofficially it is up to the seller.Reverendo wrote:Aside from cost to have these shipped from Japan, I wonder if there are import restrictions being they are considered chemicals?
I have Varivas 100ml bottle, and really like it.
