Anyone using line conditioners? If so, what do you use?

KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. It is good for all types of lines.
I have been using it for years and it appears to also extend the useful life of line.

Does it leave any type of residue on the reel frame when it's sprayed on, and if so, is it easily cleaned up?

I wouldn't use KVD...

If you have access to Japan shops here are some options.

VARIVAS
100ml and 320ml (50ml non-gas)

Owner-C'ultiva / Ardent also offer a line conditioner that is available domestically, called Line Butter. I wonder if it's the same formula as the Cultiva spray available in Japan.

Aside from cost to have these shipped from Japan, I wonder if there are import restrictions being they are considered chemicals?

Any residue is easily wiped off and it is not oily/tacky. I have a decent collection of high-end JDM reels, so if there was any harm to a reel when using it, I would have not continued to use it for the past 10 years. The 'proof' is in consistent results over time and with various types of line (fluoro, braid and mono).

I would suggest that you do a search on "KVD" in this sub-forum and read the comments.

Officially they only can ship non-gas version by Air Mail, unofficially it is up to the seller.
I have Varivas 100ml bottle, and really like it.
