I like use both Defier and Armilo. Armilo is the best alround line I've used and goes on my multipurpose rods. But when it comes to 1/4 oz. Pop R's you just can't fine a better line than Defier. I really like it for all my small cranks, also. I don't use Defier for anything over 12 #'s.

Trilene XL is where its at, 8, 12 &17# are all very strong and limp. I tried 8&10# supernatural, the 8# would break easily and the 10# wouldn't stay on my egg beater. Haven't tried defier.

Defier is my favorite limp mono. If you need something with better abrasion resistance and less stretch, Toray bawo super polyamide plus is better. I use both often and actually prefer the Toray.
