Just ordered it. Hopefully in the mail tomorrow.

I hope it's nothing like nanofil other than it being slick.
I ordered the 6lb and 14. Hoping it is as strong as the original

Looking forward to putting it through it's paces. 14lb in the surf. 6lb in the fresh.

Anyone else put any time in on it yet.

Not much out there has stood the test of time as well as the original. Still not a braid out there comes even remotely close to the originals toughness.......
Right now my top two lines for distance are fins 40g and gliss (I usually spool up 3 new types of braid per year. this year i used 8 new to me or to the market braids)
Durability fireline tracer braid and fireline fused.
Overall favorites J braid x8, Fins 40g, Ygk Gsould upgrade x8, original fireline tracer braid

If this comes somewhere inbetween it could be the best new line out.
I hope it's wirey like the original.

It's always nice to have members willing to take a chance on what's new and share their conclusions later!

I really liked the fused strands on Fireline but hated the terrible weave the finished product had. I'll have to give this a try. I know braids aren't supposed to be abrasion resistant but origional Fireline was hard to kill.

I put some time on the 14lb.....used it in applications where i'd normally use 30-50lb braid.

Snap casting 3 ounces on an 11 foot rod that barely loads when snap casting. (just to see if it's strong under shock.
PR knot to 40lb fluoro held like a champ...and no damage even if using a cannon.

It's not even broken in yet so time will tell. Should have the lighter stuff in by the weekend.

I'm interested in trying it out. If it is like original Fireline it is probably 30% stronger than its advertised test.

Bunch of knot tests and abs test posted on SOL.

Put some time on the 4lb and 6lb today.
Terminal knots seem to be better than gliss and nanofil. Although going by memory they cast a bit further.

So far no fuzzyness which is a major plus. If it is anything like the original. A solid 10-20 hours of solid casting and retrieving should break it in.
If it proves to be as durable as most braids....it could be a spectacular line.

I love how it's nice and wirey.
Limp lines suck!

Put about a thousand casts on the 4lb.....It's good stuff. But it's not nanofil in terms of quietness and casting.
And it's not original fireline in terms of knot strength.

It is more sensitive than other braids when tying direct for shallow water bottom bouncing...but how much more sensitivity is really needed.

It's good stuff. But definitely needs more time to wear in. If it breaks in like the original...(which takes some time) and doesn't fuzz up) Then it's true performance will show.
So far it's pretty good.

Does a fused braid on a spinning reel still help with line twist?

It's not going to backlash like mono or fluoro if that's what you mean.
But if you tie in a leader and reel that knot through the guides..you'll still stack twist at the last few feet ahead of the line to line join knot.
The more twisted it gets the more ribbonlike it becomes...which weakens it some.

Put a few hundred more casts on it today. Using the same knot and purposely not retying.
It's proving very durable bottom bouncing chasing big smallies.

No issues and it's starting to really break in nicely
no fuzzyness. Softening up a tad like original fireline does.

Starting to get more confidence in it not fearing it being like nanofil in terms of durability.

Even caught a nice smallmouth with 3 pectoral fins....God knows how many smallies I've caught...never one with a third pectoral fin....thought it was just a nubbin....until i moved....lol
bout a 18"-19" fish
Hopefully the video turned out clear

I'm a bit confused on the diameters of this line compared to other braids, for example sufix 832

.15mm sufix brakes is rated at 20lb while fireline is rated at 6lb :-k

Or is fireline real braking strength way higher that it says???

In the past Fireline has been rated at half of what it should be rated due to knot slippage. #14 was like a #30 Power Pro braid for example. The new stuff is probably doing the same thing. Buy accordingly and tie unis with lots of wraps.

Has anyone tried the Trilene Knot with this line? I use it with braid all the time, thanks to Bobby Barrack, and it is really strong, plus it saves a lot of line on each retie.
