I tried the 50lb and did not like it. Strong line, but lost its color quickly and had a thicker diameter than other 50lb braids. Reminded of powerpro slick 8. I will stick with FX2 which I am very happy with.

I used the 50lb. in green. I agree that it bleeds fast and it is thick. Also, the Teflon coating didn't seem to last long. I was expecting it to cast farther than a line without a Teflon coating, like FX2. I didn't do any scientific tests, but it didn't seem to cast as far as I had hoped. On the good side, I didn't experience much tip wrap.
I know what people want in a braid differs greatly, and it is very subjective. I am looking for a 50lb. braid that casts a little farther than FX2, but is more durable than Smackdown or 832. The X8 is on one of my reels to try next.
