I like ppss8, but I tried Berkley Pro braid last year and that's all I've bought since. It is an 8-carrier braid like ss8 and it is extremely quiet thru the guides, even under pressure. I've had no problems with break-offs on the hookset either, even with a locked-down drag. And it is very economical.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
