This has been covered a million times. Just use the search bar.

Shooter- More sensitive, abrasion resistant.
It's memory and handling is worse than Sniper because of it.

Sniper- Easier to use, little bit more stretch.

Sniper is good for the price. The difference isn't night and day but, it is noticeable.

If you aren't used to FC, go with Sniper.

Great analysis, I use Shooter for bottom contact and Sniper for moving baits.

Yes, this has been covered a lot. Just try Shooter with a bottom contact bait during a tough/subtle bite with a good rod and you will see the difference. You will want Shooter for bottom contact baits if you are a competitive tournament fisherman. Sniper is a great all-around line. All of my reaction bait rods, except for floating topwater, have Sniper or Assassin.

Good info. So sniper has more stretch than the # test lines in shooter that say they have added stretch?

Shooter changes their formula throughout the sizes. The "Finesse" (small sizes) and "Power" (larger sizes) have more stretch than the "Marionette" (middle sizes).

I noticed that. So do you think #8 sniper has more stretch than #8 shooter marionette special?

Yes. I wouldn't fish the marionette special on spinning unless you are really aware when wind knots are about to develop. You have to be really willing to drag the harder flouros behind the boat several times a day or be willing to cast without your worm regularly when you use spinning tackle. Both will help remove line twist. I wouldn't fish any 'harder' flouro on spinning spool sizes smaller than a Daiwa 2500.

The marionette now starts at 10lb. I have experience with the older pre-2013 version (now the marionette middle size formula) when they used it for the smaller sizes also. The marionette formula is a little stiff to use for the smaller sizes and I guess that is why they changed it. I don't have experience with the new softer "finesse" formula that goes up to 9lb. The 10lb. Shooter is great for casting gear and casting jigs/Texas rigged plastics in our clear western waters.
