Daiwa J-Braid???

I just want to know if its as smooth as Samurai and also if it bleeds as bad. Some of the pics Ives seen of the bleeding is rediculous.

Bought a spool of 15lb. Didn't bleed,got a stripe of green on the fingers,but no green on the rod or reel.
Had a little fade,but was only out for a couple of hours,so will have to check on that.
The line is nice and smooth,held a palomar knot,no slips. Used a 1/8 shakey head with a zoom shakey worm about 8g.
Casting was good,so far so good, like it.

Tested it out this weekend flipping and frogging. Very smooth and doesn't bleed. Thikness is same as usual usdm line, 50lb j-braid is the same as 80lb samurai. I did find the abbrasive resistance not as good as fx2 but same as samurai. If you are a samurai fan you will like j-braid allot, its also so cheap!!

How do you think it will fair in the 10 lb ? Looking for using it for spinning applications

i used 15lb samurai last year and didn;t like it at all after extended use, just cut way too easily and had to retie too often. 16lb sx1 was nicer.

Thanks for the great feedback, but I believe you meant to say that 50lb J-Braid is the same as 55lb (not 80lb) Samurai.

I used 30lb j braid for the first time on the weekend. Impressed ,very quiet and no bleeding yet but have only used it for about 4 hours of casting. I also use suffix 832 and power pro slick 8 and j braid is the quietest.

J-Braid casts well and comes off the line nice and smooth. I'm impressed with this (30lb ) line so far. It's only been a couple of weeks, but I'm impressed.
You guys should try it. It's easy on the wallet too.

I'm a Samurai Braid fan, have been for years. I had to give J-Braid a try, so I just spent the weekend fishing Redfish in Louisiana with 30lb. J-Braid, and it's was impressive. Castability was very good, abrasion resistance was very good, and it's toughness was definitely there too. It's not quite a soft/smooth as Samurai, but it's not nearly as rough as power pro either.
